The Feelers, (actually playing a show in Dublin tonight)
Evermore, (not Australian)

And a special mention of the songs;
Breaks Co-op, the otherside &,
Pluto, long white cross
My 2 songs of my year out in NZ in 2005. Stunning tunes.

went there for the work holiday visa scheme for a year in March 05. Great country. I'll move back there full time...when I win the lotto!

another band to check out is Eskimo Joe? Do you know them Sarah? They're from Australia but their lastest album "Black Fingernails, Red Wine" from 06 is fantastic. The melodies on it....oooh...*drooly smiley*

cool, i lived and worked in auckland all last year but did a bit of travelling. Didn't get to fiji though, next time. Would go back in a second, not enough cash though to get there! Miss the weather and outdoors stuff!
Heard of Eskimo Joe alright when I was there, they had one or two hits alright. the song blackfinger nails, red wine was popular enough, i see they also have a song called Sarah!!

So do you miss mylo, vogels and marmite?! Lion Red, Tui or Macs Gold? North shore, ponsonby, parnell or herne bay?!

As for Sarah, 'tis a popular song name altight, Phil Lynott, Declan O'Rourke, Eskimo Joe....etc.

So do you miss mylo, vogels and marmite

never tried mylo, vogels was too expensive and had marmite one...rotten!
i miss those suger filled uncle tobys cereal bars, the chocolate and strawberry ones did it for me.
Lion Red, Tui or Macs Gold?
Macs gold (even a Mac's Green on Patricks day) at the start but then speights, speights and more speights.
North shore, ponsonby, parnell or herne bay?
Only passed through North Shore, Ponsonby and Parnell just waled through, Herne Bay dont think i got to. Waihiki Island, The Muddy Farmer, the Warehouse???
Only spend about 2 weeks in Auckalnd overall. 4 months in Taupo working at Woolworths. Fun times.
I'm begining to forget stuff now though.

Yeah its a great name!!
Went to see pete murray last year in auckland, it was great. Also made it to the jazz and blues fest in byron bay easter last year. It was deadly! I've forgotten so much already and i'm only home 2 months, warehouse was the business! cheap everything!
speights was yum too. so did you get a hole in one in taupo? been there two or three times, stayed one night and then just lunch passing through another time. small place but lovely, bet you hung out in that irish pub, what was it called? flannerys or flanagans or something like that!

Dunnes pales in comparison.

didnt try the hole in one. With my swing it'd be a total waste of money.
There were 2 irish pubs (names escape me). the free nightclub was frequented a few times.
Tried not to stick to irish pubs (can do that here), but the pub life in NZ wasnt exactly healthy (they'd better things to be doing/ better outdoor weather) so the irish ones were pretty much the only ones with a bit of life.

We had to make our own fun! Went to good nightclub in auckland called boogie wonderlands and the viaduct was good craic but the pubs were better. The belgian beer bar was great. Went to the muddy farmer for paddys day last year! that's what i missed about home, probably the only thing, loved the outdoor life there though, there is not much to do here!
