Well I ran from the carpark to the new band stage all on my lonesome on Sunday morning in order to catch your set and it was well worth it. Brilliant gig! I really enjoyed it....great fun! The crowd were loving it. Made a friend meet me there and he loved it too. Well done lads!
ye lads u were absolutely savage. tent was packed, had a great crowd for so early in the morning. pity about the short time you had on stage but u crammed the songs in. Any1 that was there who hadn't seen you before was majorly impressed so hopefully you can get some bigger venues from here on in.
Congrats!!!!
P.S. IRN BRU?? Man, that stuff tastes of unwashed arse.
Lorna, u did not run down from the carpark on your lonesome, i headed down with you! But you did indeed make me meet you there and I was indeed majorly impressed... check out the review in the Evening Herald, you guys got a mention:
With day two came the stone-splitting sun, and in place of muddy drunkenness came sweaty hangovers – meaning the punters really needed something to pick them up a bit. And in the New Band tent, Dublin band The Blizzards pumped as much early-morning energy into the crowd as it could take, leaving the packed venue with the fantastic song Superdrug.
Sorry I said ye were from Dublin, I only discovered ye were from Mullingar when I came on the site! Lorna told me ye were from Dublin, but I should have checked my sources... never trust anybody from Cork after all!
I was in the New Bands tent late on Saturday night and saw the Tears...Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler both looked p*ssed off that only a handful of people had turned up to see them..I headed out early on Sunday and lo and behold the tent was packed for the Blizzards!! Congrats to everyone concerned on the gig, great way to start the day
