Dear Doc,

Perhaps you or someone of your forum can help me with this awful quandary, you see every week i look forward the weekend cumin. The thought of the weekend is the only thing that gets me through work. And When i asked myself why this is, i realised its because i enjoy a bottle r two, r five r sometimes 6 of wine and then when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I wonder to myself, is it better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver?.
So doc do i carry drinking to save the dreams of the vineyard workers r do i same my liver?
Any help welcome...............................

Give up the Booze Love,

With all the money you would save on drinking so much wine you would actually be able to take a trip to a vineyard and talk to those people who are making that beautiful wine. It would be more worthwhile to speak to those people than just getting boozed up with your friends all the time.

Don't get me wrong a good wine is beautiful and to be enjoyed. But excess is a little ugly and if you want to keep your life beautiful and creative ease up on the booze because its goona get you either financially personally or productively if you keep at it in excess.

You talk about the vineyard workers dreams but by drinking to excess you are stealing your own dreams. That goes for you too blizzards.. keep focused.. the strong of personality do not need to drink to eccess to enjoy life. When you are at work this week think of what you would like to do instead of boozing. Bake a cake for a friend buy someone flowers its amazing what enjoyment these trhings can bring. Go to the theatre, Learn a poem, take a flying lesson, walk you dog, go horseriding on the beach make love to somebody exquisite and most of all be kind.

Thanks Guardian Angel for that. I assume that you dont drink and dont know how good it is. the truth is I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day!

OOps I don't know what came over me there, what I really wanted to say is everything in moderation! Even Angels have their vices sex, drugs and handsome men are mine but hey nobodys perfect! I am trying to keep a lid on my behaviour so hence the sterling advice.

Guardian Angel,

I am shocked at your behaviour comming on to Cock Balls like that. You should have a little self respect you know. You could have at least played hard to get. Although I am pleased to hear that your not as boring as you first made out and you do enjoy things other than going to the theatre and Learning poems.

I will however take on board your advice and perhaps cut down on the wine and take up Jack Daniels instead.....?

Thanks.

Cindy,

Last night I reached a comprimise in our ying and yang dilema of 'to booze or not to booze'. In light of my wish to persue the finer things in life I went to the theatre. But I must say the 5 scotch whiskeys I drank during the course of the night gave an extra glow to proceedings. I highly recommend it.

With regards to your previous post, while i agree that satisfaction of the finer things in life can greatly be increased by the consumption of alcohol at the same time. One should be aware that this can lead to the excessive consumption of this substance we call alcohol. Excessive consumption can lead to memory lost and should such a situation occur at say the theatre, there would be little or no point going to such a place if you can't recall the event. As you previously said "excess can be ugly". I note that you are now drinking during the week and perhaps i am begining to be a bad influence on you. I fear that your repuatation may be at stake. And I would hate to think that your good repuation as the "Guardian Angel" being dystroyed and beome known as the "ALCHO" as not only is this is my reputation but it doesnt go well with Angels.  I therefore suggest that we cease to comunicate with one another. Unless you wish to abandon your role of the gaurdian angel and become my drinking partner?

Kind Regards,

Cindy

Well Cinds,

I must say your right I have been boozing during week but I have no intention of changing my name or going to those meetings forced to say 'my name is Guardian Angel and I am an alcoholic'. Ale on is what I say Cinds. I had a good run of it over the weekend but then cleared the hang over with a stretch on the beach with my dog. You have given me the glass have full approach to acoholism and I will make sure it remains that way. Cheers Cinds. Bottoms up!
